Pantanal & Jaguars | Workshop photography

Let us join you on this amazing adventure, which we are sure you will never forget!

What to expect

Although the main attraction in the Pantanal are Jaguars, we have designed this photographic safari so that you can enjoy all the variety of wildlife that this thriving area offers.

You will visit different habitats in search of a large variety of birds without missing any photographic opportunity that they offer us. We will try to find a photo opportunity with the elusive giant anteater and playful giant river otters, endangered Hyacinth Macaws and go look for one of the rare but gorgeous birds South America has to offer, the Agami Heron.

We will finish our wonderful trip spending some incredible days in the Cuiabá river in search of the spotted cat, the jaguar. August and early September is the best time to see these magnificent animals because the dry season reaches its lowest water levels forcing prey to congregate along the major water sources also attacking more jaguars.

Let us guide you through this amazing adventure, which we are sure you will never forget!

04 to 11 September

07 Nights Porto Jofre | State Park Meeting of Water

Breakfast early morning 6:00 (You can adjust the time of the breakfast with your guide and lodge if you want a sunrise experience.) We leave the hotel in a motorboat looking for jaguar along the tree brother river, Cuiabá river in the state park, this is one of the three largest protect area in Pantanal. With its high density of jaguar prey, including caiman and big groups of capybara the state park contains one of the pantanal’s highest concentration and the chance to see jaguars, quite often the jaguars can be seen on the river bank and this becomes more common in the period from June to November. The jaguars can lay-down for a long time on the river bank resting. We will also encounter other interesting wildlife, including Giant River Otters, Caimans, Capibaras, Tapirs, Yellow Anaconda, Howler Monkeys and many birds species including the magnificent Toco Toucan and Hyacinth Macaw. The Pantanal is also one of the best places in the word for view birds containing more than 600 species of birds. We are going to spend around 10-12 hours on the river (all day), we will have a lunch on the boat with a picnic-style, lunch sometimes watching a jaguar. Lunch while anchored along the river with plenty of opportunities to take a safe bathroom break on the beach as necessary. Late afternoon we return to the lodge.
We believe that you are looking for the single best experience in Pantanal and with jaguars, and we know that the jaguar is very unexpected, so we choose not to come back to the lodge for lunch and bring the food with us so you never lose any unforgettable memory.
